 2010 Cadillac CTS Review -2

In 2010, the Cadillac CTS defines what an American luxury car can become this year. The spacious and elegant cab, seemingly endless options and affordable “all-wheel drive” make this safe truck, which should see in the category of medium-sized luxury sedans. All CTS models for 2010 are rear-wheel drive and come standard with a six-speed manual gearbox. The six-speed mechanism and “all-wheel drive” are optional drives. This year the CTS comes with five trim levels, below - breakdown and specifications for everything.

3.0 Base-Comes with automatic headlights, dual-zone climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, vinyl leatherette, cruise control, eight-seat power drive, rear-view mirror with automatic dimming and eight-disc compact Stereo drive with satellite radio and auxiliary audio jack. The 3.0-liter V6 engine produces 270 horsepower and 223 lb-ft of torque, according to their online brochure. Mileage is estimated at 18 mpg and on a highway of 27 mpg. Standard safety features include traction control, anti-lock disc brakes, front-seat airbags, full-length side airbags, stability control and OnStar emergency communication systems.

3.0 Luxury - adds leather upholstery, heated front seats, front driver seat, eight-way power seat, wood and leather steering wheel, Bluetooth, interior ambient lighting and a six-CD changer. The optional Eco Lux collection changes the car's aerodynamics and tires to achieve a track of 30 miles per gallon and is only available at this trim level. All other engines and standard safety features are the same.

3.0 Performance. This model has all the luxury equipment with a trim, as well as service brakes, the FE2 sports suspension, limited rear rear differential, 18-inch alloy wheels and adaptive HID headlights. All engines and standard safety features are the same.

3.6 Performance. This model adds 10 surround sound speakers with digital music and a USB / iPod interface. The engine bounces to a larger 3.6-liter V6, which produces 304 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Mileage is estimated at 18 mpg and on a highway of 27 mpg.

3.6 Luxury - this model has two available packages. The luxurious “level two” includes a split folding rear seat, heated and cooled front seats, rear parking sensors, remote ignition, remote start, remote start and power tilt and telescopic steering wheel. The luxurious "premium" includes all the equipment of the "second level" plus a backup camera, navigation system on the hard disk and a panoramic sunroof. All engines and standard safety features are the same.

Known options are the panoramic sunroof, available on all CTS models. The backup camera and navigation system are available on all models except the base CTS.

In the government crash tests, the 2010 Cadillac CTS sedan was awarded the perfect five stars for side protection. The Institute for Insurance of Road Safety provided the CTS with the best rating of “good” in frontal displacement and side impact.
