Avoid overloading on a luxurious tourist vacation. -2

Almost everyone has heard travel stories. From looting to fraud, it’s important to know what to expect from your luxury vacation. The most common stories about seizures abroad include currency, the purchase of “priceless artifacts” and falling into a taxi trap. Take a look at these common ways that people are either overwhelmed or broken down, and use these strategies to stay in control of your money!

Currency fraud

One of the most difficult parts in traveling to other countries is the use of foreign currency. There are several ways to solve this problem; the most important of them is to be familiar with the exchange rate. For example, one euro is equivalent to $ 1.50. Also check out what your local currency looks like. A common tourist fraud is approaching at the airport or in front of the hotel according to what appears to be a fellow traveler. They may want to exchange part of their “left” currency for dollars. They may try to sell you counterfeit currency or offer a high exchange rate. Do not accept such people. The only safe way to exchange currency is through a bank, your local American Express office, or a pursuer aboard any luxury cruise.

Buying Antiques

When you travel to countries with a rich ancient history on vacation on luxury trips, you may be tempted to take a piece of home with you. In countries such as China, Egypt and the United Kingdom, there are many licensed and unlicensed antiques dealers who will offer you some of the greatest finds of the century. But the buyer beware, even experts can be fooled by fakes. Not to mention the fact that most countries do not allow to export most of the history of their country. So, if you have acquired a find of the century, you probably will not be able to take it home. If you want to take something home with you, contact a well-known and licensed antiques dealer. Your guide or cruise liner should have the best recommendations. Be sure to ask the right questions, such as delivery options, questions of legality and get a receipt for the sale.

Taxi fraud

Most travelers travel to their destinations by taxi if they are not on excursions with a luxury cruise. Most taxi drivers know this and can find a tourist from a mile away. They know that you are not familiar with the exchange rate, speed of a local taxi and unfamiliar with this area. They may overestimate their bet to take advantage of your ignorance or take a more scenic route to launch a tab. Some may not run the counter at all and tell you a high fixed rate. You can avoid using the advantages by setting the speed before you enter the cabin and estimate how to get to your destination. If there is no counter, do not enter. They may not be a legal taxi service and may take you somewhere if you do not pay them. Feel free to try another taxi if you think you can do better. Suddenly, the price may change to something more reasonable if you threaten to look elsewhere.

The first step in preventing participation in any of these fraudulent activities is awareness and information.

Now that you are armed with information and strategies to not participate in these situations, you are ready to look at your luxury vacation without fear.
