Caribbean - Tropical Island, resting at its best -2

The term “Caribbean” generally refers to tropical islands and coastal areas in and around the Caribbean. The Caribbean is bounded by Cuba and Hispaniola Island in the north, the Lesser Antilles Islands (such as Saint Lucia and Barbados) in the east, the northernmost coast of South America in the south, and the coasts of Central America and Mexico to the West. The Caribbean region is also sometimes referred to as “West Indies” because of the mistake Christopher Columbus made when he first arrived in the area and mistakenly thought that he was in Asia Asia.

The Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands do not immediately adjoin the Caribbean Sea, but are usually considered part of the Caribbean because of their similarity to other islands in this region. Bermuda is a bit of an island located quite far north of the Caribbean Sea (about 640 miles west / northwest of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina), but as a rule Bermuda gets a similar billing to the Caribbean areas because of its attractiveness as an island tourist destination.

The geography of the Caribbean was formed mainly due to volcanic activity, and volcanic activity still exists in this area, for example, in Montserrat, in which there is an active volcano that had a large eruption back in 1995. The Caribbean region has also been previously hurricanes, which in general are most often in the hurricane season from late May to late November of each year.

The Caribbean has a rich cultural history, starting with the earliest inhabitants, including Carik Indians, from whom the region takes its name, from subsequent explorers, settlers and residents, which included many from Spain, England, the Netherlands, France and Africa. Today there is a large cultural diversity in the region, offering many different types of recreation.

The abundance of the Caribbean in the United States and Canada makes the Caribbean the most visited tropical region for tourists from these countries. The Caribbean is also very popular among European tourists, as well as from Central and South America. There are approximately 7,000 islands in the Caribbean (many of which are uninhabited or rarely used), and the region is well suited for sailing and cruising. As a private sailboat or commercial cruise ship, the Caribbean offers some of the best jumps in the world from the island.

The Caribbean is well known for its attractive tropical climate, beautiful sandy beaches, cultural richness, water sports and is focused on providing excellent holiday experiences for tourists from all over the world. The Caribbean offers some of the best recreational opportunities in the world, and is particularly attractive as a way out of the winter seasons in other parts of the world.
