There are many travel deals for a person who knows where to look and how to use existing programs. Of course, I'm not talking about spending winter holidays in Galveston-Texas and spending the weekend in a cardboard box on the beach. I also do not mean a house with trees on the shore of Lake Michigan in the dead of winter.
Where are you looking for travel deals?
Just a couple of decades ago, tourists traveled to a local travel agency to find discounts on travel services and discounts.
Many people for many years already know that if you buy a plane ticket from an airline, then the chances will be solid that you will always pay the full cost for this ticket. However, the average travel agency may purchase the same aircraft fair at a discount — essentially so that the travel agency can benefit from this difference, but many travel agencies will pass these savings on to the consumer.
Travel agencies also offer another advantage to consumers in that they have the opportunity to watch fares on flights from different airlines. It is often much cheaper to fly to Chicago and change planes to catch another flight to New York than it would be to get to the direct route to New York. Travel agencies have the opportunity to see discounts that others do not see.
Discount travel packages are often available, grouping many people into the same vacation plan. Older people and retired people most often use this option, but they are not the only ones. From Las Vegas, people will join together to fill a bus for a trip to the Hoover Dam or the Grand Canyon. Across the country, people take the bus and ride to the casino closer to home. Tour operators often fly to Europe and share a trip on a bus in Europe.
Having received three dozen distance barriers for the distribution of costs on a specific tour schedule, transportation costs can be finally reduced. Costs are reduced because the tour can be estimated according to the actual expenses of the trip, as opposed to the overstated costs developed in the package to pay for empty seats. But do you really want to build your next vacation on the strict schedule developed by the tour operator?
What if you don't want to share your vacation?
The truth is that for people who are a little independent from the people who fill the tourist buses, there is a lot of travel.
To ask again about where to get actual savings, many people on this day and age turn to online travel companies for discounts on travel.
Travel companies are in a grand advertising battle, fighting for your business. Expedia, Travelocity, Yahoo Travel, Travel.com, Orbitz, Priceline and others are fighting for your dollars. But who really offers the best deals?
People have a lot of opinions about who has the best travel deals available online. If you listen to William Shatner, you will not look any further than Priceline for these trips. But, I'm here to tell you that if you want real deals, don't stop at Priceline.
Advertising in a big dollar requires sales markup in big dollars.
Consider this. For Expedia, Travelocity, Yahoo Travel, Travel.com, Orbitz and Priceline to become household names, they have to spend millions on advertising to put their names in their subconscious.
How much will your trip cost to sell your services to the next person? In other words, how much do you overpay for travel to find out who these companies are?
Cheap travel can be found when you beat the beaten path.
If you know what to look for and where to look, you can find travel packages that are much cheaper than you can get with the tour operator or the top six travel companies mentioned above - and you don’t have to share your trip with three dozen people you don't even know and probably won't like it.
To prove my point, let me give a few examples.
On the Pacific side of Baja California Sur, in the city of Cabo San Lucas, Las Cabos, Mexico, there is a 5-star resort called Hacienda del Mar Vacation Club. At this resort you can get a one bedroom condominium for 8 days and 7 nights, and you can spend your days and nights overlooking the Pacific Ocean. In Priceline, this package will cost $ 2088.38. In Travelocity this same package will cost $ 1976.59. If you know where to shop, you can get a one-room apartment for 8 days and 7 nights, for just $ 645.
The Welk Resort San Diego is located on 600 acres in the San Diego, California area. It offers unique holiday rooms with various amenities and resort activities. You can get a one-bedroom villa in the most complete resort setting, which has a golf course and a private theater. For the 8-day 7-night package at the Welk Expedia Resort will charge $ 2,064.43; Orbitz charges you $ 2,236.40, and Travelocity charges $ 2063. If you know where to shop, you can get this package for only $ 298.
Finally
There is a little-known secret that can literally save thousands of dollars on your next vacation, and sometimes even increase the cost you receive in exchange for your limited vacation.
