When you think of a hotel reviewer, what image comes to mind? Most likely, you represent a person who stays in the most luxurious hotels in the world, eats in outstanding restaurants and gets thanks, like a king. Well, this image may be accurate if you are a reviewer working on a large publication, such as the Forbes Travel Guide or LHW. Unfortunately, most hotel reviewers, like me, do not work for large publications; pretty independent. This causes some difficulties, which I will discuss in the following paragraphs.

Budget:

Lovers and small reviewers usually do not have large financial resources. Unlike the major publications, which can buy the best equipment on the market, hire renamed journalists and buy advertising, people like me cannot afford this luxury. Actually, I can't even take my photos of the hotel, which I suggest, instead I should contact each hotel in which I would like to indicate and get permission to use their materials, which turned out to be very difficult,

Most of the hotels I worked on were very difficult to work with. The department of public relations and marketing of luxury hotels, as a rule, gives you a difficult time before giving you permission to use your media materials, even if your goal is to show them in a very positive light.

Study:

When you create a review and encourage people to go to a specific place, you trust them and are responsible for your recommendations. Of course, you will not have responsibility for their pleasure, but you will not sleep well at night if you send someone to a place where you are not honest and honest. Research plays a key role in this work. My budget does not allow me to personally visit or at least send someone I trust in the hotels I offer, instead I depend heavily on the differences that every hotel I received won, as well as guest reviews about the hotel who share their experiences with the world. Fortunately, I still received amazing feedback from people who went to hotels that I recommended, which brings me great satisfaction.

Consumption time:

If you respect the copyright and respect the intellectual property of the hotels you are showing, be prepared to spend a lot of time on your project. After you get all the permissions you pursue, you will need to start preparing a review. Find the perfect background music, tell, filter unimportant photos and videos and write a lot of text. Sometimes you have to wrap everything up in a video that lasts no more than ten minutes.

Evaluation and recognition:

Personally, when I finish a review, it fills me with a sense of joy. But, unfortunately, not everyone will like the video that you diligently create, you will not get millions of views, and you will not get rich from it. If you are incompatible and do not download or do not blog every day, you just do not get the recognition and recognition that you deserve.

That being said, it’s not so bad to treat hotels. I know that every review I publish makes a vacation someone I don’t know much better. Review of hotels encourages hotels to better service, as well as more hospitable and hospitable. This work has great karma, and who knows what opportunities this hobby will open for me.
