Nothing compares to the structure that we build from determination, hard work and love for our beloved pets. But not all of us have the skills and the necessary knowledge to create a home for dogs. The main question remains - how to build a house for dogs?
Perhaps the easiest way is to use dog kits available on the market. These kits contain all the necessary things: from plywood panels to screws and, as they say, it is very easy to assemble using the instructions supplied with the kit. Basic household tools are usually all that is required for successful assembly and creating a home for dogs.
Building a dog house from scratch can be tricky. Precise measurements, cutting and joining of parts must be performed with great accuracy. For virtually any type of construction, regardless of design, the main tools and materials that will be needed are plywood, boards, screws, insulation materials, safety glasses, gloves, drills, hammer, table saw and measuring tape. Usually the above mentioned items are all that is required to create a common house for dogs.
An analysis of several plans shows that the base of the house for dogs was built first. Preferably, pressure treated wood is used, but it can become dangerous for the dog if it chews it, and therefore care is taken when choosing base wood. The base always rises from the ground to avoid contact with moisture or water and a store of heat.
Frames for supporting boards, side panels and house widths are always measured accurately and fixed together with screws and nails.
The roof can be flat or a-shaped and preferably screwed to the frames of the canine house, but in such a way that it can be removed for internal cleaning. Normally, gaps are also left on the sides or bottom to ensure proper ventilation.
To finish it, the houses of the dog are painted in light colors so as not to lose heat.
