How to update an old kitchen wall clock -2

Most people do not want to throw something if it is in excellent working condition, but when the appearance appears on your kitchen wall clock, what is your other choice? Of course, you can't sell it, and you probably can't even give it away. For this you need a new look.

If your watch is a less expensive model, then the first thing to show signs of aging will be your face. Cheaper watches have a subtle paper background under their minute and hour hands. The faces of the watch are very easy to change, and replacing the old face will breathe new life into your old watch. It is very easy to get a new face for your watch, if it is a standard size.

Most companies will sell a range of new watches so you can try. If you can not find what you like, it is easy and fun to make them at home. Simply remove the paper from the old face and use it to create a pattern on the new material. There are big and easy ideas for a new background lying around your house. Old maps make an excellent choice, as well as beautiful photos from magazines.

You can always make a paper mosaic by cutting out an assortment of shapes from colored magazine pages and reassembling them against the background. If the mosaic is not your style, you can try to glue together some flat back stones to mark the clock. Another great idea is to make an ancient perspective parchment background. Shine a white sheet of the appropriate size and wash it overnight in strong coffee. Coffee colors the paper yellow and makes the folds a darker shade for a truly ancient look.

Outside the face, what can you change about your kitchen wall clocks? You can try to change the frame of your watch. Simply select a new color and draw the old color. This may require several layers. Select acrylic to do this job. Acrylic paints can be easily washed off with brushes and hands. When it is the color you want, you can decide how to decorate it.

Often the watch is a simple round design. To make a fascinating lookout kitchen wall clock, go to the thrift store and pick up the old silver that you like. Choose four knives, four spoons and four forks. Use liquid nails or any other type of cement glue to glue them to the back of the watch so that each piece of silver will last an hour. Make sure the interesting end is facing out so you can see it. It makes a hungry clock!
