Induction hobs - is it all worth the hype? -2

Induction hobs are the whole range at the moment; sleek, modern, clean and fast. In modern luxurious German cuisine, it has become as big as the white minimal handless doors. Your kitchen designer should be able to tell you everything you need to know about the suitability of induction to your design. At the moment I have listed some pros and cons:

Pros

- So easy to clean! The times of dismantling a complex array of round rings, plates and metal nets after each meal have passed. The combination of grease and oily residue on a stainless steel base on the hob makes it virtually impossible to clean without stains (not at all perfect in a modern kitchen), not to mention all parts of the spike that always seem to be punched through the cleaning cloth and pierce your hands!

With induction hobs, all you need to do is spray on any cleaning product, wipe, dry, and you have a beautiful black mirror on your worktop. Some models are suitable for a flat and level work surface, and they are easiest to clean. Others may have a small bevel or stainless steel frame and require a little more effort to maintain.

- It is effective as gas, if not more. Of course, in the past, induction technology did not match the hype, but time has provided us with a universal and fully functional cooking zone. I say from my own experience that when you press a button (instead of turning the fat knob), you can bring the pan to a boiling boil to boil instantly. Some induction hobs also include a boost function that focuses all the energy from the magnets under one pan, so bringing it to a boil much faster.

- It's safer. Nothing in the kitchen is more dangerous than an open flame (except, perhaps, a set of blunt knives!) And with the finishing of the hob, this risk is completely eliminated.

- If you do not have gas for your home, you no longer need to place a bulky bottle, induction is connected to the power grid, and you are ready to create the perfect omelette.

- Some of the newer models are ashless, which means that you can place the pan anywhere. It also has the advantage of heating the entire bottom of your fish pot or burning tin; perfect for making sauce!

- All induction hobs are fitted with a fuse for children, so small ones cannot accidentally operate them.

Cons

- The character of induction means that you have to change all your pans or buy an induction hob converter, but honestly, if you want to install a new kitchen, most likely your pans are all old and need to be replaced as far as your original kitchen. Ask family and friends for compatible with the invention of the saucepan as gifts; useful advice, prepare them your favorite treasures as a thank you!

- You can not see that the heat burns like a gas. However, with some induction hobs, there is a slight noise when the magnets are activated, which gives you some guidance. Usually you will also find some kind of indicator or icon (if there is a screen on your hob), which will tell you which ones are active. In addition, as a precautionary measure, the zones in the induction hob are only operated with a magnetic connection to the pan.

- Cooking with a wok is not as effective. Few can be compared with the sizzling heat of using a wok. The flames extend up the sides of the wok, giving you a round glow that is great for training your chef who can throw vegetables without using a spatula. There are several solutions on the market where it comes to induction compatible woks. Some manufacturers introduced a special domino vocal, consisting of a rectangular induction hob with a dipped cup-shaped recess, which includes a specific induction wok. The downside of this design is that you can only use one single wok pot. In another solution, a round metal stand is used, which is installed between the flat induction of the wok itself. Not recommended for violent shaking and tossing ingredients, to say the least.

- Safety, it should be emphasized that the induction hob, apparently, can interfere with pacemakers, and therefore it is desirable that people equipped with one, do not work with induction hob.

There you have a brief overview of induction hobs, which I hope will help you choose the right appliance for your beautiful new kitchen.
