No one can say for sure why a certain group of people succeed in a certain activity. In general, the environment, culture and natural resources play a role. But most often it is the usual old practice. The Swiss are the best watchmakers in the world for a very simple reason. They make high-quality watches longer than anyone else. The Swiss first created the watchmaker's guild in 1601, which set extremely high standards for the growing industry. Every Swiss lawyer had to abide by strict rules or eliminate risk.
The rules were that most watchmakers did not mind, especially since they seemed to be working. Soon after the guild was created, Switzerland became a force to be reckoned with in the watchmaking world. Although they were smaller and had fewer people than England or France, they held their own when it came to watch. Awarded for their accuracy and overall quality, Swiss watches were popular with watch lovers all over the world.
There was only one problem. The cities of Switzerland were quickly crowded, especially in Geneva, where the watch guild was born. The competition was fierce, and the space was limited. Many young sentries were forced to relocate. Mount Jura has become a destination for ambitious teachers who wanted to start their own stores. For some inexplicable reason, many of them settled in the village of La Chaux-de-Fonds.
Founded in the seventeenth century, the village soon became a city in which a disproportionate number of scholars lived. Hundreds of years later, La Chaux-de-Fonds remains a “city of watchmakers”. The city has at least a dozen world-famous watch companies, numbering about thirty-eight thousand inhabitants.
Invicta Watch Group
Many famous watchmakers have connections with La Chaux-de-Fonds. Cartier, Tag Heuer, Movado, Louis Vuitton, British Masters, Movado, Invicta and Juvenia, all have factories there. In fact, most residents work in these companies. This is almost to say that these people are watching their blood. Although they are not the most famous name on our list, Invicta exists from the very beginning.
Founded in 1837 by Rafael Picard, Invicta Watch began an experiment. At the time, pocket watches were considered luxury items that only middle-sized people could afford. But Picard had other ideas. He wanted to make a watch for an ordinary person. Some considered it a gamble; most of them said it was frank insanity. In the end, labor and material costs were high, and competition was fierce. The only option for Invicta was to increase sales and deliver abroad.
True to its name (this means “invincible” in Vulgar Latin), Invicta kept the doors open for almost a century and a half.
Because their profits were so subtle that they never earned a lot of money, but they were well known and respected throughout the watchmaking world. Like most of the old guards, Invicta fell victim to the quartz revolution in the 1970s.
Fortunately, our story does not end there. About ten years after the closure of the company, her founder’s daughter was linked by an investment group from Florida. The relatives of Rafael Picard agreed to sell after investors promised to hire real watchmakers, not machines. Let's look at their most popular models.
Pro Diver Collection
The original Wendy Raycraft is a freelance writer who writes about fashionable clothes and brands, such as Invicta watches, durable, durable and affordable. As already mentioned, they were meant for the common man who wanted a bit of luxury. Sometimes this is why the company is so good at designing watches that they stand between sporty and fashionable ones. Their current catalog includes several high quality diving watches, many from the Pro Diver collection. According to experts, a good watch for diving is safe at a depth of 200 meters (660 feet) of water, and it is preferably powered by automatic movement. All watches in the collection meet these criteria. Their bold and distinctive design includes black dials with luminous white watches and Arabic numerals that can be read in low light conditions. They even have date windows next to the 3 o hour markings.
Collection II
Although they adhere to most fundamental principles, the new Invicta Watch group clearly had to change over time. This means more elegant, more sophisticated watches that can be worn on the beach or in the meeting room. Their new chronograph watch line seems to be able to do all this. This watch, besides saving time, offers stopwatch functions for a track, pool or field. They are accurate and durable, with stainless steel cases and silver bracelets. The subranges measure time in 60-second and 30-minute intervals. There is even a calendar window near the clock marker 4 hours. All watches in the collection are waterproof to 330 feet (100 meters).
