When someone thinks about building a luxurious log cabin, there are many details that need to be considered to ensure the high quality of the house.

The first element is the type of log. For a manual cabin, manual flaking of logs leaves much more of the original wood material, rather than being crushed. With deviations in the logs, the character is transmitted to the dwelling. Drawing knife marks leaves many flat edges, as the bark is carefully removed - revealing the beauty inside.

Engelman fir and white pine offer more white wood. Douglas Fir gives a richer rose color to magazines. Western Red Cedar - two tone. The outer ring is light red in color, and the center is a deep red hue. This rich color is emphasized and highlighted when the logs are beveled and recessed around the door and window openings, on the scarf cuts that precede each corner, and they are also visible at the ends. This rich interior is not found in barely or pine.

A second consideration for a luxury log cabin is how magazines fit together. The two most popular methods for manual log houses are Scandinavian full style and shift style. The full scribe method is much more time consuming and labor intensive, but results in a much denser home. The vast majority of chinker-style cabs rely on clicking, sealing and foam between the rows of logs to produce an airtight house.

For the Scandinavian Full Scribe cabin, each magazine has a groove channel cut at the bottom of the log. The goal is to create a print log log log between each "round" or next. In addition, the method above the label causes the logs to shrink over time.

For a kink-style cabin there is no tree in the tree. Instead, they are a chain sawn flat from above and below. A click and seal is then placed between the ring to ensure a tight fit. Over time, the cut must be reapplied when the logs are compressed.

The third point concerns a little more added insurance against air penetration into the luxury cabin. In a completely cut-off house, a SofRod black insulation pad is inserted along the edge of each side of the book channel on the underside of the log. This SofRod gasket is very expensive, and, as a rule, only luxury cabin owners spend extra money to add them to their homes.

Luxury log houses are not of poor quality. Made with the best premium magazine types, created using the Scandinavian Full Scribe method and additionally isolated with SofRod pads, they provide a warm and comfortable stay, no matter what time of year.
