There are up to 300 hotels in Amsterdam. Most of these hotels are 1, 2, 3 and 4 star hotels. The minority are 5 star luxury hotels. In Amsterdam, there are about fifteen luxury hotels with 5 stars. These are the treasures of Amsterdam. Hotels are the keepers of the long and rich history of the capital of the Netherlands. I will try to make a brief description of the most important hotels that I visited in Amsterdam last year.
NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky is a phenomenon in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and around the world. What once began as a coffee house has become the largest five-star hotel in the Netherlands. The NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky has 468 rooms, including 1 Tower Suite, 6 junior suites and 36 apartments, a congress center for up to 2,000 people, the historic Winter Garden, and the monumental Reflet Restaurant, dating back to 1885.
Hotel Pulitzer located in the center of Amsterdam, framed by the two most famous canals; Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht. It consists of twenty-five renovated canal houses of the 17th and 18th centuries, harmoniously integrated to create this unique five-star hotel.
Hotel Dylan One of the world's first boutique hotels, which will open in 1999, The Dylan is still a landmark hotel in terms of style and service. The Dylan Hotel, formerly known as Blakes, is located in a historic 17th century building in the heart of Amsterdam. The 41 rooms and suites offer guests a choice of atmosphere from rich and dramatic to cool and calm.
Hotel Okura The privileged location of the Hotel Okura on one of Amsterdam’s famous canals in the heart of Amsterdam, next to the RAI convention center, 10 minutes from the cultural zone and 15 minutes from Schiphol Airport, makes this hotel the perfect choice for your stay in Amsterdam. Amstel Intercontinental Amsterdam Since opening in 1867, Amstel Inter-Continental Amsterdam is considered the most beautiful hotel in the Netherlands and ranked the best hotels in the world. This five-star deluxe hotel is located in a quiet but central area of the Amstel River, within walking distance of the financial and cultural centers of the city. In 1992, the hotel was completely restored to its original glory, and the atmosphere in all of its seventy-nine air-conditioned rooms and suites breathes grace and elegance, reminiscent of a great European estate. Each room and suite has Wi-Fi access, a stereo system and marble bathrooms with the famous cascade shower.
Greater Amsterdam , a five-star deluxe hotel, located just a few minutes from Dam Square, surrounded by two canals that connect the port with the Amstel River. Preserving the soul of a historical object, the Grand, converted into a hotel only in 1992, offers its guests the highest level of modern amenities: 138 luxurious rooms, 28 apartments and 16 apartments with modern amenities. Guests can visit the renovated restaurant Roux Café, an elegant bar and a spa with a heated pool, sauna and Turkish bath. The magic of the hotel is emphasized by the charming inner garden, where, when the weather permits, you can have lunch, afternoon tea, dinner or just enjoy a relaxed drink.
