Modern hot rods: build a budget! -2

I was asked this question a lot, and he also asked a lot. What are modern hot rods? Which cars can be considered modern hot rods? Usually, when asked this question, someone says that there are no modern hot rods, which are hot wands - these are 65 and older things, or someone will say that imports are new hot rods or lower riders or a new Mustang. In fact, however, none of them is a modern hot rod.

You are probably asking yourself: “What are modern hot rods?” Well, before I get to what cars could be considered modern, I wanted to figure out how I determined which cars are modern Hot Rods.

First: the cost: the cost of buying a car and the cost of parts.

Second Thing - Mods: Which mods are available and how common are the common parts.

Most of these cars are about 30 years old, sort of like 32 Fords in the 60s. Most of these cars have only about 200 HP, but much can be done for them cheap.

Ford F-150, 1980-1986 Cost: $ 800- $ 2000

Looked high above the car, which can be turned into a Hot Rod. These cars, as a rule, are simply considered more basic cheap trucks or dried-up toys that can be encountered. Although these cars most likely contain either 302 watts or 351 watts that are easy to find (jegs or Summit racing) you can create to make some serious power!

Ford Bronco, 1980-1986 Cost: $ 800- $ 3000

This full-size SUV is easy to find and can be found for super cheap. Usually think more about how Mud Bogger or car to make in Monster truck. These Ford can be cheaply turned into a big hot rod. Although it only has about 210 horsepower, these trucks will come with 302W, 351W or 351M (351Ms, aka Cleveland, are rare, though), so you can make them have some serious power!

Dodge Mirada, 1980-1983; Cost: $ 500- $ 2000

Forgotten Mopar since the early 80s. It was a short-lived car at the time when MOPAR was in financial trouble (sort of ... we heard all the jokes in the Mopar economy), and it was supposed to be a luxury car. However, it was not sold in the same way as Monte Carlo or Thunderbird, and the car has been forgotten in recent years ... it's great! It's great because I saw that those who work cost about $ 700, and these cars come with a stock of 318, but you can swap places for 340 or 360 LA for some series!

Dodge Aspen, 1976-1980 Cost: $ 900- $ 3000

Mopar in the late 70s is a compact / medium car size. The car really won the car of the year for 1976 (although it did not help today's value), and these cars can be found for dirty cheap in good condition. The Aspen was supposed to be a low-equipped sports coupe or an affordable family sedan; the car even had an R / T package. Most Aspens will have 318 in them, but you can get an R / Ts with 360. You can also find a used 360 for a cheap replacement if you don’t like the 318.

Chevy Caprice, 1977-1990 Cost: $ 2000- $ 4000

The other one still looked like a car that could be turned into a great hot rod. Caprice is usually more perceived as undersized or a car with large rims, but these machines are excellent platforms for hot rods. Models 77-79 were delivered with the famous Small Block Chevy 350, although only in a 170 hp stock. It can be customized like any other 350 for a series of horsepower. Later models came with the Chevy 305, which can also be created for power, but you can also find 350 used and cheap exchanges that go into Caprice.

Chevy Malibu, 1978-1983 Cost: $ 2000- $ 4000

It is usually considered an ugly car in the early 80s, sometimes it is even considered a Guido car. Malibu has actually become more popular with riders in the past few years! Basically, do this with a straight axle rear-wheel drive, and you can easily fit 350 or more, such as 427 or 454.

Chevy Monte Carlo, 1978-1988 Cost: $ 2000- $ 4500

One of the cars from his era, which has a performance that was not Trans Am, Camaro or Mustang. Monte Carlo is easy to find, it is a bit more expensive than other cars in the list, but if you have money, then it is worth it! Most Monte Carlos will have either a V6 or 305 in it, but in fact they have a V8 diesel. If you don't know anything about diesels, I recommend going with a V6 or a 305 Carlo, rather than using 350 for sharing. They can make big drag and drop machines, or if you're more interested in touring, they can also be professional.

Chevy S10, 1985-1993 Cost: $ 700- $ 3000

Small Compact Pick Up Truck from Chevy. These trucks are a great example of a modern hot rod; its 85 to 98 models come with 4.3 liters (262) V6, which basically is a Chevy 350 without cylinders 3 and 6! The working parts for your 350, such as the pistons, rockers, values, and the Edelbrock team, will run on a 4.3 liter engine. However, if you need something with more power, you can, of course, exchange 350, but others have made 427 and even 454s into this truck. Despite the fact that this truck is cheap, and most of them do not consider Hot Rod, there was a Pro Mod S10! Make it one of the best hot rods!

Despite the fact that many people do not know about it or do not believe that there are more than a few platforms for creating a modern “hot rod” and do it on a cheap budget! All of these cars are commonly found on Craigslist, while other used cars have added fashions that are cheap, and parts are available and easy to find!

I will build articles on several of these rods, but I will tell you how you think about them on these machines, leave it as a comment below.
