The village is located at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level, and the climate is subtropical.

Frigiliana is a place where you can lose yourself in the delightful picturesque narrow streets. There are various monuments, among which el Ingenio (oil refinery), built in the Renaissance style in 1508. Currently, el Ingenio has the only honey cane factory in Europe. In the center of the old village you will find the Renaissance church San Antonio de Padua, built in 1676. The Moorish part of the old city is considered one of the most authentic architectural buildings of Arabic origin that exist in the province of Malaga.
