Pet Hotels: A New Trend in the Hotel Business -2

If you and your family have pets, leaving them at home while on vacation, it can be difficult. Putting your pets in a kennel can be expensive, but it can be difficult to find one of the pets from your home. Fortunately, there is a solution. Pet hotels are becoming increasingly popular in many cities.

Pets hotels allow travelers to bring their pets friends with them instead of sitting in a nursery or hiring a caretaker to stay with them during the trip. These places are designed to make animals feel comfortable while giving owners peace of mind, knowing that their animals are safe and eat well.

Some luxury establishments even consider animals as miniature VIPs, feeding on every whim and pampering them. For example, they can have a special menu for serving pet rooms, leave toys in all rooms and provide special dog beds and kittens that will give the animals a good night. The hotel in Seattle even has animation psychiatrists, acupuncturists and staff massage therapists to truly pamper pets that come here.

An institution in California has a “Yappy Hour” where dog owners can bring their dogs to a special area for a game session. These events are a great way for dogs to run around and tire themselves while their owners communicate. Some places have even hired "Animal Relations Directors" who are planning special events and finding out new services and offers that will make animals feel at home.

Some hotels with pets also began to provide replacement animals for travelers who had to leave their four-legged friends at home. For example, Burnham in Chicago began providing goldfish for guests, as well as the SoHo Grand in New York. Some establishments even began to provide cats or dogs to guests who would like to have an animal company during their stay. The goal is to make guests feel at home and work to alleviate the pain that comes with leaving their beloved animal friend at home.

These pet-friendly hotels can accommodate lovers of dedicated animals, asking for a non-refundable deposit from any guests who bring animals. This allows them to provide additional services, as well as repair any damage that animals can cause, such as chewing furniture, scratching carpets, or urinating inside the room.
