If walking and hiking is your thing, there are miles and miles of beautiful, well-groomed trails in the Aspen area. The city of Aspen has its own wonderful trail system that connects the entire city and the immediate vicinity.
There are also many routes around Aspen that are served by the US Forest Service. One of these routes is the Ute track. This path is a real hike to a pedestrian crossing right through the pine forest to a rocky exit, which offers an amazing panorama of the upper valley of the Roaring Forest. Ute track is approximately 2 miles in length with an increase in height of 1,160 feet.
