Swiss watch company Tissot says goodbye to PR50 -2

2010 was a year of change. The first coalition government was formed in the UK for over 50 years, the volcano closed European airspace for 6 days, and Britain, apparently, officially pulled out of the longest recession after the depression.

It was also the year of the change for Tissot watches. Tissot have built their reputation for the quality and availability of the watches they produce. This classic watch brand has become one of the leading brands of sports watches on the market. The basis of this change is the Tissot T-Touch range. Tactile multifunctional sports watches created a niche in the market, which led to the growth of the Tissot brand in the UK and around the world. New T-Touch generations, such as the T-Touch Expert and Sea Touch, have grown over the last year from the original Tissot T-Touch.

With such large-scale changes in the brand image from the classic watch brand to the sport watch brand, there must be some losses in the watch ranges that Tissot makes, and this year the first victim was declared an observant giant. PR50, one of the most beloved watches in the Tissot range for more than 30 years, has failed. It was announced by Tissot at the Basel Watch Fair, demonstrating that Tissot is serious about changes for the brand. The PR50 was a huge part of the Tissot time range for an incredible number of years and over time, the PR50 had a facelift to keep up with technological advances and fashion changes. PR50, as a watch line, served everyone who just wanted a classic simple watch, another who wanted a specialized analog sports watch. Thanks to 58 hours in the assortment, everyone managed to find the watch they were looking for. Some of the most popular Tissot watches come from the PR50 range, such as; PR50 Nascar and Men's Watch PR50 7 Digital Analog Crossovers.

But wait a bit before you go out and try to buy the rest of the world in the world of the PR50, Tissot watches only signaled the end of the classic PR50 or the basic model PR50, Nascar and PR50 Seven. However, this does not mean that the rest of the Tissot PR50 series is safe from the ax, it simply means that they have avoided it now. Therefore, for those who are still waiting for their time to buy the classic PR50 starter model, you better be quick, because they will not be around much longer. Despite this loss, Tissot has launched a new replacement for the PR50; The new PR100, which owes much of its predecessor PR50. The PR100 has a much higher specification than the PR50, and it’s easy to see why Tissot decided to cancel the PR50 when people see the new PR100. The PR100 has a much larger set, a new 100-meter water resistance and a heavily modified bracelet that will surely make people upgrade from the old PR50 to the new PR100.

It's sad to see the end of the PR50, but with the new PR100 it's easy to see why the time has come for Tissot to move from an old favorite and embrace the classic style of the new generation Tissot.
