Who invented the Dodge Viper? -2

When it comes to the one who invented the Dodge Viper, credit cannot go to one person. There were many people who were behind the invention of this wonderful car. However, the original idea to build a sports car originated from Robert A. Lutz, the president of Chrysler in 1988. He talked about this idea to Tom Gale, the head of design.

Francois Castaine, head of Jeep and Truck Engineering Chrysler, and Carroll Shelby, who was associated with Chrysler for limited edition Dodges, also participated in the development of Dodge Viper.

All these people worked together to come up with the ultimate American sports car, which has power with its V10 engine, 600 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque. This car has become so popular that the first generation of vipers were sold out as soon as possible.

Delivery of the 196 first-generation Dodge Viper began in May 1992. These cars went around about 2,800 dealers. In 1992, the Dodge Viper had a retail price of $ 50,000, along with $ 700 for its intended expenses, $ 2,600 for gas tax and $ 2,310 for luxury tax. This led to the final price of the Viper $ 55,630. However, consumers wanted this car so badly that some dealers added $ 100,000 at the final price. Even the brand did nothing to reduce the demand. Therefore, dealers were asked to accept orders for the 3000 Dodge Vipers, which will be released in 1993. By July 1992, 70 percent of 3000 had already been ordered by consumers.
