Money is an invention created by man in order to better get what he wanted. The more money a person has, the more he can buy, and therefore he is richer. What really is wealth, he has a lot of money or he is able to fully experience life. I believe that wealth can be healthy and fully live life. With a lot of money, this is what society pays too much attention to these days. Our society seems to be built on the foundation that our lives will eventually grow rich. Instead, our philosophy should be that life is fully experienced life in all its aspects. Greed is something that is very common in the modern world. The oil industry is the biggest example of greed at work. The oil industry knows that it helps to kill the planet by promoting oil and gas, but it does it anyway, because it is very profitable. Some people will do everything possible to get money, steal, deceive, lie, etc.
Do we really need SUVs, trucks and big cars? The truth is that we could easily get along with small electric cars, such as those already under construction today. Two hundred years ago, people went around horses and carts, and they were not more depressed than they are today. Why do we have to go so fast, we are in such a hurry to destroy our planet. Maybe we all tend to kill our own planet and defile our own future. Of course, it seems that we are doing everything possible to sabotage our own future as a species. Global warming is deteriorating every day, but we continue to burn oil and gas, as if it were good for the planet.
People these days are buying things just for this, without even needing it. People buy things today because they can, not because they need them. Luxury is what we are told to look for in life. Having a boat, a big house and a fashionable car is all that is glorified in the media.
Money has corrupted humanity to such an extent that now we are doing what is bad for us, just spending more money. People love to spend money so much that they spend it, even if it makes them feel worse. Now these are people with corruption, every day we are corrupting ourselves more and more. Here are some examples of how we corrupt ourselves with money.
We buy clothes that are made in sweat shops because we love clothes.
We buy big houses, although we have to go into debt in order to afford it.
We eat food in restaurants, which cost up to one hundred dollars, while other people die of hunger. We could help others with our money, but instead we corrupt ourselves with this. We buy things that we really do not need, and then we ask ourselves why we feel so bad.
Because money has become so hot in recent decades that depression has become a terrible disease that affects more than 40 million Americans when we speak. Money is at the center of many people, even if they don’t realize it.
If everyone lived to improve their lives without harming themselves or the planet, then everything would be in balance. We are currently doing the opposite. We drive cars that kill the planet, and we smoke to unbalance our own bodies. The reason people smoke is due to the greed that many entrepreneurs had in mind when they started selling cigarettes to the public. Greed is at the root of many of today's problems, and money is the main cause of many problems in modern society.
On television, a large number of shows, which we watch all, are associated with winning money, as this is the main prize in life. The ultimate bonus in life is to experience life, and not to waste time and degrade with things that you do not need.
Some of the worst things on our planet come from greed and love of money. In many countries, gambling is regulated by the government, and they create casino games that make people addicted to gambling. The next thing you know is that the government is putting TV ads on how casino games should remain a game. They make you addicted to the game, and then they tell you that it should just be a game.
It is our own governments that do this with us, the people who control our countries lie and cheat in the name of greed. Society has become so accustomed to this form of greed, that society recognizes that this greed continues openly. This form of greed is now considered normal and considered acceptable. If our own governments are spoiled by money, what can we do to save ourselves? We need to stand up for ourselves and stop using oil and gas. We need to quit smoking, gambling and live in luxury. We need to help our neighbor, who needs a little help, instead of waving a new boat.
Society is very painful when it comes to money, we must be aware of this.
