The entire marketing philosophy is based on the needs and desires of customers. Human needs are requirements that a person or group of people have, needs that must be met because they ensure their existence and development. Maslow's pyramid is the most well-known classification of human needs and consists of the following levels:
1. Physiological needs (food, clothing, sleep)
2. Safety requirements (vehicle safety belt, home security systems, smoke detectors)
3. Social needs (need to be loved, needs for love)
4. Recognition and fame (luxury cars, expensive clothes, collectibles)
5. Need for self-improvement (hobby, education)
When one of the previously mentioned needs requires confirmation, people begin to look for a market for products and services that can cover and meet one of these specific needs. The product is presented to everyone that is available for purchase on the market and which can satisfy the need. The value of a particular product is determined by the benefits that the consumer receives from using this product compared to the costs or ownership of this product. The level of satisfaction depends on the value that each customer has in relation to a particular product or service, and the cost that he must pay to benefit from it. Trading is the basic concept on which the entire marketing industry is based. Previously, people used to trade in a product in exchange for another product, but nowadays we buy money to get what we want. Even if we use money, it is still a form of trading. Marketing management is the analysis, implementation and control of all programs designed to create, create and maintain profitable deals with target customers to achieve the goals of the company.
