 The evolution of watches -2

A wristwatch is a basic watch attached to a strap so that it can be worn on the hand. Many manufacturers of sports watches GPS proudly declare that they invented this simple device, which in fact should not have been invented. as such, and that is why something obviously does not have a patent.

So, if the invention of watches was so obvious, and if women wore it for centuries, why did men catch up with this trend for so long? The answer to this question has two aspects: fashion and technical. Can a watch that is so small as to be worn on the wrist can also keep accurate timings? And on another note, would a real person be in order to wear something like a bracelet? The actual story of how men began to wear wristwatches and GPS watches, after they had overcome these social and technical barriers.

In 1571, Robert Dudley singer Queen Elizabeth is a wrist watch & as a New Year's gift. It was a bracelet, rich in jewels, and contained a spring-led watch designed to be worn on the forearm or wrist, where it would be visible to others. Gradually, the first wristwatches appeared in the form of small watches, mounted on bracelets and intended only for women. In 1889, a simplified version of the wristwatch was patented by the Swiss. This version eliminated winding and tuning using the stem and the crown. The frame made a winding, and the hands were mounted with a gear on the side of the body, which could be moved with a finger.

By the middle of the nineteenth century, gemstones such as sapphires, rubies and diamonds were incorporated into the design of this bracelet watch. At that time, people thought that this watch was too small to contain mechanisms for ensuring accurate timings and was too easy to cause damage and contaminate dust. Any gentleman who was concerned enough to keep track of time wore a pocket watch.
In addition to fashion, watchmakers are faced with the problem that a watch must be of a certain size and in order to be small enough to be worn on the wrist, one would have to sacrifice accurate timekeeping. Imagine how a watch with GPS appeared?

Another problem was that engineers remembered about the dangers when designing watches. Pocket watches stored in the inner pocket of the vest are warm, dry and free from impact. But the watch, worn on the hand, subjected to all sorts of rough methods of treatment.

During the late nineties and early twentieth centuries, the "bracelet" became a military requirement for men during the war. It was basically a pocket watch set in a leather cup and sewn on a belt, also made of leather. At different times of war, different types of watches were designed and worn by men. Gradually, the public perception of wristwatches changed, and sales of wristwatches to men on the street began in full growth!

In the twenty-first century, technological advances were incorporated into the design of wristwatches, which have now become models for men. With a wide variety of watches were classified by type, such as daily wear, formal wear, GPS navigation watches, GPS sports watches, etc.
