Headlight technology has a very bright future.-2

The race is always among the automakers to supply new technologies that will put them ahead. While much of the work done by engineers focuses on power trains and fuel efficiency, they also follow aesthetics. Let's face it, we all want our cars to look great and be spotted outside, and the headlights are a great way to do it. Check your rearview mirror while you are on the road at night, and now you will probably see all sorts of headlamps flickering on you, from projector lights to halo lights that come in different colors.

In fact, if you make a trip to your local auto parts store, you will see that the custom headlight section is growing pretty fast. As crazy as the USA is about their cars, the fact is that they are in the back of the pack when it comes to headlight technology. This is not because Europeans supply brighter and better products, because the rules regarding the use of headlamps, and which type can be used, are rather limited in the United States.

However, the times when they change, and the automatic lighting in this part of the world becomes a little less tightly regulated. The most commonly used car lamps on the market are high intensity lamps (HID), which are essentially illuminated by an arc rather than a thread. Automakers who want to make a splash, usually on higher-end models, now come with LEDs for cars. They are not the brightest in the market, but their design flexibility and low power consumption make them popular, although their production cost is high, so luxury cars are usually where they end up. BMW says that their cars will be equipped with laser beams in the future, although don't expect that the James Bond style light will allow you to cut through walls and other solid objects. That they will be bright and incredibly accurate.

Custom headlights now include projection lights and the ability of lights to follow curved roads. This idea got its start in the 80s, when dipped-beam headlights were the first to take into account the formation of the beam. These were not the most efficient lights that have ever been made, but they did it, I apologize for the pun, they form the way for future technologies, such as projection lighting. It is expected that the future of this technology will be presented by Audi with its Matrix Lighting, using LED indicators that will eliminate the need for separate low and high beam settings. These lights may not be visible at some point, due to these annoying rules, which believe that vehicles must have clear settings for low and high beam.

One thing that is certain about the future of car headlights is that it will go beyond the average enthusiast of modification.
