Movado history-2

Movado Watch is a famous watch company whose name means “always on the move” in Esperanto. The company began its expedition in 1881, and then took a leading place in the manufacture of watches. It was a small workshop in La Chaux-de-Foundas, Switzerland, from where she saw the light of the day. It was the gifted Achilles Dithisheim, together with a group of six of his employees, who initiated a big step in creating Movado Watch.

Originally, the entire Movado watch fleet was fabricated, accumulated and made by hand. Soon after he became a valiant act on a roll, their hard effort and sand received huge and expected dividends. By 1899, they were awarded nearly six "first-class Official Rating Certificates" in their category. In the following years, even better results appeared, and they were awarded the Silver Medal at a universal demonstration in Paris.

By 1905, the Movado name brought the company into account, and it began to receive benefits on behalf of. To meet the demand and expectations of the client, he embarked on the path of practical distinction in the development and use of existing products. In subsequent years, they prevailed over their consolidated rivals at some grand exhibitions: be it a 1910 fair in Paris, Rome, Brussels or Rio de Janeiro. They convincingly brought fame for themselves by releasing 8 collections of wristwatches Ligne. The attraction of the Poliplane Watch in 1912 almost created chaos and stunned the entire watchmaking community. These watches were so outstanding that they currently hunt any watch auction.

Movado Digital Watch was launched in 1930. At the same time, Calendomatic, showing the markers of the month and day on the dial, was released to the market in 1946 to capture the entire market at a time. The unique “Museum Watch”, which showed a solo point in number 12 on the dial, took the market by storm. This unique characteristic of watches symbolized innovation that was unheard of before. He was deeply received, and also preferred to be strong in the "Museum of Modern Art" in 1969. This was the result of collaborative work with designers such as Andy Warhol, who collaborated with the production process of “one-of-a-kind watches”, which are now an integral part of museums, galleries and watch collections.

Currently, Movado Watch is redefining its magnificent past by introducing the KingMatic series. This series of watches was originally released in the 1950s. Modern KingMatic is made of stainless steel crystals and sapphire and is waterproof. Movado celebrated its 125th year of manufacture of watches only last year. In the midst of its high-profile watches, gathered in museum collections around the world, Movado Watch created a huge influence and left its triumph in the world. His periodic exposition in famous publications further complements the saga of her achievements.

Currently, the watch companies use both quartz and mechanical movements in their watches, as well as sell other luxury watch brands such as Coach, Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste and many others.
