There were probably many incidents where lighting of any type of light illuminated the earth, it would be very necessary to see that you are approaching at night. On some cars, exterior mirrors located under the rear-view mirrors and doors serve for this purpose, but, unfortunately, not every one of them comes with this luxury. And in some cases even these lights are not enough! Puddle LED lamps are the perfect solution to problems like this and the like. This article will address the general issues that most people have about puddles.
1.) What are rays of light?
Puddle lamps are what the name suggests: Lights to illuminate the ground to avoid falling into puddles or any other unwanted surface. This type of light has become popular thanks to aftermarket tuning company Brabus, which specializes in Mercedes-Benz cars. On a large variety of BMW cars based on the Brabus, an option was provided for LED fluorescent lamps, which are installed in series under the side skirt along the side of the car. Since the advent of these LEDs, puddles have been modified on other cars, such as Lexus, BMW, etc.
2.) How are they installed on the car?
LED pools are installed on the car with screws and double-sided tape. Double-sided tape is designed to fix these LED lamps, and the screws are what permanently fixes them in place. Due to the environment with which these lights pass, double-sided tape will not be a reliable connection for long-term use.
3.) How is the light wire to my car?
There are several ways to connect these LED lights to your car; Some examples include pointing them at side door lights or a map / dome light. Other examples include tapping it on your car’s radio or even an auxiliary wire to keep the lights on when the car is turned on. There are several ways to turn on the power of the LED, but the basic idea is to connect the light to the power supply you want to connect to. For example, if you want the LED to light when you open the door, simply tap the light sources on your car’s internal lights.
4.) What things should I look for?
Since these LED pools are installed under the car, where there may be a lot of debris and other dangerous objects, you need to take some precautionary measures. These measures include (but are not limited to):
- Use a vacuum hose to isolate and wrap open wires to and from LEDs. Vacuum hoses are quite durable compared to the wires that it surrounds to reduce the likelihood of an object breaking a wire.
- Silicone adhesive should be used on any open electrical puddles. This is done in order to avoid any problems with humidity.
- Secure the wiring as close as possible to the floor of the car. Loose or hanging wires can catch on and tear off. The zipper / cable tie is durable and effective for attaching various items.
Puddle lamps are not only pleasant to look at, but they also add class and convenience for getting out of the car at night; imagine to pull yourself up to the valet with a luxury car with LED puddles shining to the ground.
