Parents of parents of the world are set to go on the open road this summer with their dogs, cats and other furry friends. Where are they going? Do they stay in elite hotels for pets, or prefer a reclining back, sand in vacations like paws? How much do they plan to spend on traveling to pets? Is it possible that they are planning a family vacation around their four-legged friends? Well, we asked these and other questions in a recent survey and got results.
Find out what parents are pets before this summer and what they do with their pets during the trip. Some things may surprise you!
• To get there. Just as parents of pets absolutely adore their pets, only 26% will use a pet safety belt, car seat or barrier for any type of pet to properly protect their pet. Twelve percent allow Fido to travel in their own circles while driving. And a huge 73% allow their dogs to stick their heads out of a car window while traveling. Clap! Not very safe travel habits.
• Dogs. This should not surprise you. Overwhelmingly, people relax with their dogs. This summer, 96% of pets plan to travel with their fluff. Sorry, Fluffy!
• Fido first When parents of pets were asked if they were planning their trip around the needs and pleasures of their dogs, an astounding 67% said YES! It just shows you the role our animals play in our lives. They are not only family members, but apparently members with some serious influence!
• catch the wave No, this is not a grandmother in Florida or a fancy resort in New York. The top type of travel on a summer pet is a beach holiday. Parents of pets collect Fido and go to the beach cities. Since Fido comes first, it makes sense to install a GPS for the nearest beach. Which dog doesn’t like to surf and sand?
• Pampering When choosing a favorite animal for summer travel, more than half of parents of domestic animals compare pets. The more acclaimed baskets, dog trees, dog beds and dog doors, all the better!
• One week. We are not talking about a quick weekend weekend! Almost half of the respondents plan to rest with the dog for the whole week.
• Mucho Dinero. Parents of pets plan to cough over some serious dollars in their adventure on a summer trip. Between pre-holiday equipment for pets, pets and special trips, 62% of pet respondents estimate that they spend between $ 200 and $ 300 on their dogs.
Pets are such special family members. It's nice to see their people go higher and further to turn them on and ensure that they are happy in their summer travels.
