One of the peaks of the luxury car market is one of the most memorable and “über-chic” car brands. becoming green for the sake of the environment and global pressure in order to reduce its carbon footprint (or tires), thereby improving the environmental green credentials of Bentley Motor Cars.
Bentley, heading for a more green road, was conceived in an auto company statement in February 2008 as an initiative to address the ever-increasing demand for fuel economy, oil price fluctuations and publicly expressed concerns about the impact of climate change on the environment, which we live.
The company, based on Crew, owned by Volkswagen, uses this initiative strategy, which is now being gradually introduced throughout the entire range of Bentley engine companies, which are currently producing a new range of engines that will offer a 40 percent improvement in fuel economy and implementation by 2012. The new engine technology or “flexible fuel” system, known as, will allow motor vehicles to run on plant-based fuels, but it will also allow cars to run on regular gasoline.
Adopting alternative fuels (for example, bioethanol) and new technologies is not new, although Bentley says they want to deliberately and responsibly produce cars to help reduce CO2 emissions and focus on global dependence on fossil fuels. All with the aim of using sustainable biofuel options for environmentally friendly luxury cars in the modern age of cars.
Even the HRH and Queen cars have now been converted to work on biofuels in an attempt to reduce the impact of fossil fuel consumption and, obviously, it also looks good in the eyes of the public if we all address the issue of environmentally sustainable transport.
Running on biofuels is not the only “green method” used at the Bentley plant in Crewe, as many parts and materials used in the manufacture of cars are made from and use recycled materials through the current range of luxury cars. For example, the use of shredded recycled fabrics used in the manufacture of seats and door insulation also recycles aluminum in the dashboard part. Bentley also claims that their cars up to 85% are recyclable.
Do not think for one minute that Bentley with biofuels has less and less performance to prove its point and put on the map the historic racing brand Bentley, this year Bentley ordered the help of four-time world rally champ Juha Kankkunen tried to break the world speed record on the "ice" on the frozen waters of the Baltic Sea off the coast of Finland. He recorded a speed of 205.48 miles per hour while driving a Bentley Continental Supersports GTC, so it's not a slouch!
