The plantation blinds are a great way to add a sense of luxury to your home. One of the first steps in installing your blinds is to properly evaluate the windows for which they are intended. When you perform the steps, you need to keep in mind if the blinds should be installed on the inside of the window frame or outside. Measurement methods vary. It is also important to consider the return space, as this will provide space for locking the blinds and working the blinds. Make sure there is also room for hand cranks, casting, trim and even the window itself.
Setting the window rectangle
Measure your window diagonally in each direction. If the difference is in diagonal dimensions, your window is outside the square. If the difference is less than an inch, you should be fine, but something between and is considered square and more in inches, is considered very square. The established squareness of the window will affect the type of frame and fastening that you should choose for your plantation blinds.
Internal assembly blinds
On the inside of the drywall or trim in places where plantation blinds are installed, measure the height and finish. It is important to bear in mind that drywall or paneling is narrowed further down the window. If this is the case, you will want to take a measuring teller to determine where you will be installing your blinds. It is very important that when measuring the internal blinds, which you measure the actual opening of the window, and do NOT make any discounts. The plant will make the gates slightly smaller than the measurements you provide, so accurate measurements are important. You should round to the nearest 1/16 inch. For example, if the measurement falls between 3/16 "and 1/4", round up to 3/16 ". If you close the blinds, this will not work. When ordering, use the shortest height and the narrowest width. The required measurements are like diagonal lines and the vertical height on the left side of the frame, and on the right, as well as with the center, and the width horizontally at the top and bottom of the frame, as well as the center.
Outdoor installation plantation blinds
There are a few things that you should first consider when installing the blinds on the outside of the frame. Start by determining how much area you would like to close with the shutter, do not enter the window itself. Also, decide whether you want the shutter frame mounted on drywall, on top of the cladding, or outside of trimming. Follow the same diagonal, vertical, and horizontal methods as outlined above, but use the area to cover the outside as the start and end points. If your shutter is installed outside the trim, make sure that you consider the need for a shutter to clean the trim. The manufacturers of plantation closures will NOT receive any discounts from your measurements on blinds on external installation plantations.
